Military
Section 9528 required local education agencies to give military recruiters the same access to secondary school students as they provide to colleges and universities or to prospective employers. Schools must provide student names, addresses, and telephone listings when requested by military recruiters unless a student's parent has elected to "opt-out" of
disclosing the information under the Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment.
Parents who do not wish this information to be provided to military recruiters
must request to the school official that this information about their child not
be disclosed without their consent.
Each year, the ASVAB Test is given to interested juniors and seniors. For more information, visit the following website: http://www.asvabprogram.com/. Recruiters will be visiting our school as well. For 2012-13 school year, be sure to check the counselor's calendar to see what day this test will be administered and dates the military recruiters will be coming to speak to your class.
